Madison #1 Defeats WillTrainEm to Claim AAU Middle School Girls State Championship

Phoenix, Arizona — December 13 


Madison #1 Wildcats captured the AAU Middle School Girls State Championship with a composed, disciplined win over WillTrainEm on Saturday at the Phoenix Convention Center, showcasing poise, balance, and championship-level execution.


The Wildcats were led by Vivian Kinsey, who delivered a standout performance to earn Overall MVP and Top Scorer honors. Amaya Mathews, the team’s captain and point guard, controlled the tempo and led the offense as the Top Assist leader. Defensively, sixth-grader Mia Dale set the tone, earning Defensive MVP for her disruptive presence and maturity beyond her years. Miranda Grubb dominated the glass as Top Rebounder, while Aditi Reyes provided relentless energy, earning Hustle Player of the Game.


Madison #1’s championship effort was rounded out by key contributions from Bella Reese, Sofia Esquivel, and Kendall Madsen, each playing an important role in the team’s depth and execution.


The victory capped a strong tournament run and crowned Madison #1 as AAU Middle School Girls State Champions.
